据最新消息,著名物理学家,斯蒂芬霍金,于3月14日不幸与世长辞,享年76岁,一代物理学翘楚驾鹤西游!仅向霍金老人家致哀!愿老人家一路走好!
斯蒂芬·威廉·霍金(1942年1月8日——2018年3月14日),出生于英国牛津,英国剑桥大学著名物理学家,现代最伟大的物理学家之一、是目前最享有国际盛誉的伟人之一。
霍金21岁患上肌肉萎缩性侧索硬化症,导致全身瘫痪,不能言语,只有三根手指可以活动。主要研究领域是宇宙论和黑洞,证明了广义相对论的奇性定理和黑洞面积定理,提出了黑洞蒸发理论和无边界的霍金宇宙模型,在统一爱因斯坦创立的相对论和普朗克创立的量子力学方面迈出了重要一步。
说起霍金的著作,不由得想起郭德纲老师的一段相声:
郭老师:“谦哥,您有《时间简史》吗?”
于谦:“我有时间也不捡屎。”
而《时间简史》更是霍金最著名的著作之一!该书首次出版于1988年,全书共十二章,讲的全都是关于宇宙本性的最前沿知识,包括:我们的宇宙图像、空间和时间、膨胀的宇宙、不确定性原理、黑洞、宇宙的起源和命运等内容,深入浅出地介绍了遥远星系、黑洞、粒子、反物质等知识,并对宇宙的起源、空间和时间以及相对论等古老命题进行了详细的阐述。霍金留给我们的最宝贵的财富!
另外霍金的代表作还有《果壳中的宇宙》、《大设计》、《我的简史》等!
《果壳中的宇宙》主要围绕着宇宙学,涉及广义相对论、量子论、黑洞、暴胀、时间旅行、弦论、超引力等诸多前沿概念的描述,这里不一一介绍了!
《我的简史》是霍金的自传加上自己的研究理论,这里细述了他从一个小男孩,成长到物理学家的光辉历史,也详述了他跟病魔斗争的历程,并将自己的理论阐述的一清二楚:如霍金的黑洞熵公式等。
