教学成果
徐僖主持的学科点累计已培养研究生、本科生、进修生8000余名，学生有贵州大学校长郑强，中国工程院院士瞿金平，四川大学高分子研究所副所长王琪教授，四川大学高分子学院邹华维副教授。
社会任职
徐僖历任成都科技大学副校长、高分子材料系主任、高分子研究所所长；上海交通大学高分子材料研究所所长、高分子材料工程国家重点实验室负责人；国家教委科技委员会委员，国务院学位委员会非金属材料学科评议组召集人，国家自然科学基金委员会有机高分子材料学科评议组召集人，中国化学会理事，中国化工学会第35届副理事长；第三、五、六、七、八届全国人大代表；《高分子材料科学与工程》及《油田化学》等期刊主编。
1947-1949年，任中华文化教育基金董事会研究员。

徐僖先生是中国高分子领域的杰出科学家，被誉为“中国塑料之父”和“学科领路人”，在国内高分子领域创造了多个第一。（四川大学校长谢和平院士评）
