饶毅主持过由美国国家科学基金、美国国立卫生研究院等支持的Gordon国际会议。为30多种国际杂志审稿、经常正式应邀为学术机构演讲（包括斯坦福大学、洛克菲勒大学、哈佛大学、麻省理工学院、加州大学多个校区、日本东京大学、德国马普研究所、中国科学院、北京大学、清华大学、复旦大学、台湾中央研究院等）。

曾任北京大学生命科学院院长，曾主持由美国国家科学基金、美国国立卫生研究院等支持的Gordon国际会议。为30多种国际杂志审稿、经常正式应邀为世界重要学术机构演讲。

2016年4月14日，饶毅任北京大学理学部主任。

2018年，出任“盖德纳奖”医学顾问委员会委员。
